Graphic and Web Design

My first experiences with Graphic and Web Design began in early 2002 (when I was barely out of middle school, haha) after a close friend asked me to put together a simple website for their band. I had already learned HTML and CSS in their most basic forms and could put together a very simple website using only Microsoft Notepad and the HTML/CSS I had memorized. What started out as a casual hobby that I had begun learning as a young teenager has since become one of my greatest passions. In the years since, I have tackled numerous projects for clients of various kinds ranging from projects specific to the Motor Sports industry to websites for small businesses and other photographers like myself looking for a means to showcase their work.

Photography

Having taken Photography classes in high school, I had previous experience in Film Photography before I had ever even considered making it a part of my career. However in early 2005, I was asked to photograph several local drift events for North Carolina based driver, Hayden Horton. The rest, as they say, is history. From the very first time I picked up the Nikon D70s (a camera I still shoot with to this day), I was hooked. I began covering as many racing events as possible and exploring all aspects of Photography. In the years since I have traveled across the country providing photograph coverage of racing events and continue to hone my skills with each photoshoot I undertake. I think the one thing that keeps me constantly interested in progressing as a Photographer is that I have the ability to preserve time with the push of button. Whether it’s a photograph of a race car speeding sideways with tires screeching and smoke billowing down the track, or a family portrait, I preserve those moments. And that feeling of being able to become a part of a person’s history is the best feeling in the world.

I am fully proficient in HTML/CSS, JQuery, Javascript, and PHP as well as the following programs/software: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Flash, Adobe Fireworks, Filezilla, Microsoft Excel, Capture NX, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Powerpoint, and have extensive experience with Adobe Photoshop.
